Kentucky Hemp- 2015 Growing Season Begins

May 2015: Kentucky launches second year of pilot program with 121 participants representing 1,742.25 acres of hemp planted. Seven universities and individual farms will conduct research trials across the state testing seed varieties, fiber qualities and CBD strains. One project outside of University research is under direction of Growing Warriors. Hemp seeds were planted on a reclamation mining site. The research will test the bioremediation potential of hemp and the crops ability to stabilize soils.
