Dr. Paul Mahlberg's Collection - Cannabaceae: Cannabis Sativa

Cannabis trichomes

Dr. Paul Mahlberg held one of the only two licenses issued by the DEA to study cannabis from 1970 to 2007. His research focused on the secretory glands in cannabis (both hemp and marijuana).

Prior to his research, little was known about the plant, in particular there was little research on where the cannabinoids grew. His research provided breakthrough data for understanding the cannabis plant.
